Camping Florantilles Campsite Reviews

Am not sure how the review in January 23 arrived at the conclusion this site is 5 star!
The site is old and in need of a refurbishment especially the toilets and showers where hot water is very hit and miss.
Speaking to someone who lives on site the problem of hot water has been ongoing for a couple of years.
Going around site there appears to be lots of works being carried out by the owners with hundreds of slabs and rubbish stacked all over the place, the campsite looks like a building site rather than a campsite.
The site advertises a cafeteria which would suggest food was available but all you can get is a coffee and a bag of overpriced crisps.
It also advertises a supermarket and restaurant but understand these have been closed for at least 5 years. .so come prepared if arriving late.
Talking to various owners on site they are extremely unhappy at the management of the site where complaints and emails are ignored.
The site also advertises a caravan club sticker in the reception window but understand they have not been agents for some considerable time.
It has been eye opening speaking to the mobile home owners and would suggest the site owners go around site and speak to their customers to get an honest opinion on how their customers feel and actually take note and do something about their complaints!!
Also they were shocked to learn that there are 90 statics on site and not the 40 allowed by Valencia tourism board, so where is the additional revenue going?.. certainly not being reinvested in the site!
As one caravan owner told me they have not seen any owner actually walk the site or speak to them in over 3 years and the only interaction has been forced upon them by Valencia tourism board but they even got this wrong by second guessing what restrictions were to be imposed.
Are there any positives?….No!
You will note none of the reviews left have been responded to by the owners which tells you all you need to know.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Reception staff sometimes friendly, Management are downright rude, shouting at customers in Reception.
Bar has recently reopened and is supported by people living on site. No Cafe!!! No Shop!!! No play area!! No helpful staff!!! Showers are clean but need updating, hot water is hit and miss.
Pool is only open July and August, maybe June and September if Management can organise a lifeguard.
It’s on a hill so not ideal for those with mobility issues, and 5kms from the nearest village, roads are unsafe to cycle, so positioning isn’t great. Only positive is the amazing views over the salt lakes.

Superb campsite, we liked especially with the bikes to go to torrevieja and los montesimos to do some shopping, the campsite 120 euros for 7 days great to redo. Thank you to the people and the very nice guard.
