Which area of the Costa Blanca has the best Campsites and Residential Mobile Home Parks?
Our favourite areas for the best Campsites and Residential Mobile Home Parks is Benidorm & Albatera. Why, we hear you ask? Because both of these areas are vastly different but at the same time offer 2 unique ways of living. Firstly, you’ve got the charm and relaxation of the typically Spanish town of Albatera with it’s large community of retired ex-pats. A place where you can integrate into the Spanish community and live like a local. Secondly, you’ve got the huge tourist resort of Benidorm, with it’s beaches, tourist attractions and stunning mountain backdrops. Furthermore, you’ve got the blend of both modern and traditional with the lively Levante side of town and the charming ‘old town’ of Benidorm.
What to look for when searching Costa Blanca Campsites and Residential Mobile Home Parks:
Annual site fee costs
Site fees on the Costa Blanca range from 3,000€ to 5,500€ annually. Expect to pay slightly more fees for the holiday parks due to their high level of facilities and you’ll find that these are generally paid in advance for the month. When paying in advance for the year you can expect to receive a discount. On the other hand, Residential Mobile Home Parks generally require an annual payment in advance but fees are lower as standard.
Annual running costs
Consider the following as annual running costs on a campsite on the Costa Blanca: Site fees, gas (bottle), electricity (metered) & Caravan insurance. Water is generally included within the site fees on any campsite in Spain whereas water is generally charged by meter on a residential mobile home park. Furthermore, Some Residential Parks may also charge for refuse and a communal TV connection so check this with the park owners.
Facilities
Facilities differ by each campsite and residential mobile home park on the Costa Blanca but you’ll find that most have at least 1 swimming pool and a restaurant / bar area. That said, If you’re willing to increase the annual site fee costs then expect to gain additional outdoor pools, indoor swimming pool, gym, children’s play area and even a dog walking or exercise area. Residential mobile home parks on the other hand focus more on social facilities so expect to find a swimming pool, green bowls, tennis courts and a restaurant/bar.
Distance to the nearest town or resort
This should be the most important factor when searching for your a Campsite or Residential Mobile Home Park on the Costa Blanca as the areas are spread out. You’ll have an area in mind where you want to be so focus your search primarily in that location. Once you’ve found a campsite or residential mobile home park, calculate the distance to your favourite resort or town using Googlemaps or similar map tool.
As you’ll notice, in areas such as Benidorm, most of the Campsites are within a 10 mile radius from the centre of Benidorm and Albir and Altea Campsites are only a 10 minute drive away. Whereas, Campsites and mobile home parks in the Torrevieja and Alicante area tend to be more spread out and a little bit further from a major town or resort.
Dog friendly Costa Blanca campsites and residential mobile home parks
Most of the Costa Blanca Campsites and Residential Mobile Home Parks are dog and pet friendly but please confirm this directly.
